Actually, the camera button has its uses. At least on the Ultra, once you have opened the camera, you can use not only the rear camera, but select the front or either side camera, or the movable 360° view, to see how close you are to kerbs, car parking bay markings (...),etc.
And to scan for autonomous parking

But yes, there are plenty of buttons that could have been added (rear fog light).
YES! A more accessible button for rear fog light would be nice.
I don't mind one more click to open the boot when parked, with my last car I even had to get out and open it by hand! But while driving into a wall of fog I would prefer the least amount of clicks and menus to get the fog light.

Yes, as SP1959 says, it used to be on the main screen as a shortcut. Now, in its place (on the Plus model at least), they've added a button (that nobody ask for) to activate the rearview camera, even if you're not reversing.
i have an ultra - looks like we kept it. I have a similar button on the app and the screen for the boot on my Telsa. I have used it maybe three times in 6 years. If I want to open the trunk, I am usually at the trunk so I push the physical button.
Useful? Well...in that order of looking at what's happening behind you, perhaps it would have been more useful to have a button that puts the mirrors in the parking position, by turning it slightly downwards. Or better yet, for that shortcut to be customizable. Just speculation, hopes in a normal world.
I drive the Tesla straight out of the garage, I use the rear camera to confirm that the homelink command actually did close the garage door or if I need to nudge it. It has it purposes.

1. The "thud" sound IS a generated sound. I've turned the feature back on to see what the fuss was about and it kicks in late, a second or two after the sound of the mechanical lock actuation.
2. Annoyed on the first day with the lack of the boot button on the main screen.
I have now worked it out!
The thud sound I was talking about was the noise of the locks working (same sound as them opening).
Today for the first time, I heard the almost inaudible artificially generated sound from under the bonnet about a second after the doors locked. So quiet compared to the mechanical locking sound.
Nice enough noise, just useless. How can it confirm doors locked when it is quieter than the doors locking. Especially as it activates when the boot is open!

The camera app has improved quite a bit. It now opens automatically when you get close or something gets close, not just in reverse. The removal of the boot button does seem rather pointless. It already had a hold requirement to avoid accidental operation.
lane change assist is still in the manual, but is not in the settings for pilot assist - did it disappear? Does anyone else with a Twin ultra in Canada (or North America) running 1.5.2 still have the lance change assist setting?

New update- my iPhone is now my key…. But if I pick my phone up in the lounge the bloody car unlocks or just turns the lights on….
I have yet plucked up the courage to ditch the master key….
10k in it now- still happy with it, but it can be soooo frustrating!
Stereo has drastically increased in volume a number of times and will not respond to inputs
Wiper blades have come on on their own in the dry at full speed and would not turn off even when I parked up the car and walked away. I had to put up with this for 2 hours last week stuck on the M25! The issue only resets itself some hours later.
Adaptive cruise control now drives me into other cars.
When braking car excellerates
It's now harder to unlock the car with the fob
Opening the boot is now a pain with the button gone and the screen looks odd with that empty space
Rear right type sensor always says it's flat and messages my phone even when a decent tyre pressure gauge shows me it's the same pressure as the others.

These issues are quite serious. How can Volvo/Geely roll out such a buggy update to something when safety is paramount. If this was an aircraft, it would be grounded as unsafe to fly and it's type certificate would be revoked until the manufacturer could prove all hardware and software were intrinsically safe.
The faults you are describing are more than ‘quite’ serious. If the car is accelerating when you apply the brakes I would recommend getting the vehicle recovered by Volvo for investigation as it is clearly defective and in need of repair.

This is not a 1.5.2 issue necessarily though. My car suffers from none of those except the boot button highlighted. The unlock issue is now better operating from further away.
The only significant issue I've had since update is a complete absence of sound from the radio and navigation one day last week that fixed itself next journey.
