Can you buy 2 sets and do both top and bottom for the trunk light ?

The small light for the charging port is it motion activated or do you turn it on / off yourself ?

I see no physical reason why not. Whether it would upset the CANBUS with the higher current draw however I don't know

In the Spanish EX30 group a colleague has put it at the bottom.

Trunk led strip: aren't you afraid to run into problems in case of warranty servicing or on the occasion of the scheduled maintenance?

I've probably voided the warranty in putting new valve caps on - with Volvo logos you can't see unless grovelling!

If I get a warranty issue which could be related (such a blown Cambus unit) then I will simply unplug and remove before going to the dealer. Life is too short to overly worry about stuff like this. I also fitted a dash can which again they might get upset about but it is my car and I want to modify it as I see fit.

I received a few days ago the geelyevs.com trunk light.
I did all the preparation very easily (removing the original lamp and passing the green guide)
Then started to install the LED strip.
Unfortunately when I tried to fit the strip inside the first upper left curve the slight strain caused a break in the strip internal flimsy connections and the remaining part of the strip no longer lighted up (actually, sometimes moving the strip it lights up completely, but it cannot be turned on steadily and reliably).
This is a frequent issue with LED strips.
So I bought on Amazon a 12V LED strip 180 cm long (the original geelyevs.com is 165 cm long) and some connectors (compatible with geelyevs.com provided connectors)
Soldered a new male connector to the new strip and this time fitted it without problems or breakage.
By the way the increase in length by 15 cm is beneficial for the trunk lighting.

Very interesting. Was the stuff from Amazon the same style as the GeeleyEV kit? I have used led on an adhesive roll in the motorhome before but was quite impressed with the GeeleyEV stuff particularly that you don't see the individual light chips.
