Hello All,
Over the past few weeks, my drivers side wing mirror has been having problems unfolding, sometimes it will not move at all, sometimes it will only unfold half way. It can then take multiple attempts and folding / unfolding until it goes to the correct position.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I thought it was smart thinking from Volvo to make the whole wing mirror move rather than have a moving mirror inside the body. Much more reliable. Seems not so much. Guess I will be switching this off as I do in my other cars.

Just a thought...Is it the mechanism that is failing to operate, or is there build up of grit that is impeding its operation. On previous cars I have found that once thoroughly washed, an application of silicon spray such as Autoglym Tyre Shine or Demon Shine (The Red Liquid), can offer enough gentle lubrication to get everything working again...

I'm pretty sure it's not a mechanism issue, when it does move it moves smoothly. Today it got worse, drivers mirror refused to unfold at all. No manual adjustment of either mirror possible. It's booked in with the dealer.
