About 5 to 15 cm of snow ,
Mixture of road with some gradients 25% up and down these used to see how the car behaves in snow ,
Turned off one pedal drive and had performance all wheel drive on ,
Car stable on all seasons though it would have been better on winter tyres
Slight oversteer on snow , due to power on rear wheels possibly but easily managed
Stability control wasn't too evident and didn't come on often ,
Issue over collection of snow on front wheel arches as they have limited clearance
This will freeze overnight and be difficult to dislodge in the morning
The front radar below number plate is not best located as it gets blocked by snow when driving so you get the warning messages and system goes offline little box appears and overlays the display
First time in the snow
I have Continental All Season Contact 2 on mine; they might be marginally noisier than the Goodyear summer tyres Volvo fitted but not noticeable so. Michelin Cross Climate 2 are good too but more expensive than the Continental. These two are best in tyre tests.

Twin Motor Performance Ultra - Vapour Grey/Indigo
I swear by Michelins and I can't wait for my Goodyears to wear down so I can replace with Michelin Cross CLimate's. Every car I had had over the years has had the drive transformed by changing to Michelins!
Volvo EX30, Onyx Black, Ultra, Twin Performance v1.4.2
Yep agreed, the radar is blocked by snow build up near the number plate meaning when the snowflakes are large and you’re blinded by full beam and could do with the auto lane system, it doesn’t work!
I had the EX30 ultra out last night. When the ‘outside’ lane of the A1 started to have more than a dusting the AWD coped well with a bit of squirreling and eventually at 70MPh it was too scary as the throttle response in AWD performance mode is too much! I can’t figure out how to put AWD in ‘normal drive’ but all in all I was impressed. At -1 celsius the range at 70MPh was no more than 200 and at a Tesla supercharger I started at 95kwh specs which tailed off to about 40 meaning an hour to charge (my EV9 will do 85kwh constantly, my model 3 used to do 200kw). Thankfully the heated seats on full blast slow cooked my arse while I watched newsnight via iPlayer through the Chrome browser which is a nice touch. Fair to say that in the freezing temps the AC system is a bit ambitious, had it at 24 and my bum was warm but face was freezing, not convinced this would be well received in Sweden where -1 is warm in winter.
Wouldn’t have wanted to be out last night without 4 wheel drive so kudos to the EV9, but the range even with a heat pump isn’t brilliant to be honest.

It is bad to drive when there is lot of snow on the road, pilot assist won't work, tried to clean radar from snow but it is pointless. Isn't there a normal cruise control I could use? I have heating 26 C, then I feel normal in the car, outside was 0. Managed to drive with 25,5 kwh/100km in the highway with average speed 82km/h. Tried different modes AWD and RWD with OPD off and on but couldn't figure out which was the best mode.
