Electrical Fault - Do Not Drive - Message

This message came up five week after we bought the car in September (after a lot of the usual software glitches that the EX30 seem naturally to have and expect us to cope with).
Volvo have been trying to deal with this for three weeks.
We are now told they are replacing the Wireless Harness, a new loom on a 5 week old car.

Has anybody else had this experience? Does anybody know what this means.

wow what on earth is wireless harness? and new loom...sounds suspect to me. What exactly did the fault say?.....you will see on the forum plenty of discussion on the electric drive fault warning, which is apparently a bug. Alos have you tried resetting the system...simultaneously hold down the minus - key on the left side of the steering wheel and the down arrow on the right side of the steering wheel...hold for at least 15 seconds and the screen reboots

It’s probably the wiring harness for the wireless system.

How many times/how often have you had/seen this message?

No one else has reported having to have a replacement wiring loom and, depending on how much of the wiring loom needs replacement, that's an horrendous task of disassembly and reassembly. I hope they get it back together perfectly.

Having been 'involved' with vehicle electrics/control systems for many years it's a little surprising that they are going to replace a complete wiring loom (unless it's a relatively small one).
A friend had a loom issue on his Peugeot and main dealer wanted to write it off!!! Was eventually repaired by an auto electrician who replaced the damaged section of the loom.
Usually the main wiring loom is the first thing put into the car's body during manufacture!!
