Anyone else having the same problem? Can't access the app although the car is parked up? keeps showing that the car is in use.

Happened last week to me for 6 hours due to a local vodafone outage.

Unlock the car and check for 4G signal. If none, Vodafone is the cause.

It has happened to me twice over the last few days.
Was unable to sort it out even after resetting with the help of Volvo.
The general consensus was that it was WiFi related.

Each time after a couple of hours I was able to get into the app again.

Thanks guys. it appears its yet another bug, one of many unfortunately. just hope it sorts itself out as its a pain alone with the proximity sensor not working at all now even after a new battery a few months back.

It's a nice car BUT for all of its problems i'm constantly having i wish i could return it back to Volvo Cyprus but they won't take it back as they do not have the infrastructure to resell it as a used vehicle as no main dealer here offers this here.

The fault is the coverage. Either because Vodafone has gone for a walk, or because the car is in a underground parking. But even if the fault is the lack of communication between car and app, the error is in the app, which instead of showing you an "Offline" message or "cannot communicate with the car" the app interprets the error codes as it pleases, creating a feeling of anxiety when you see a certain message and imagine your car with the windows down in the middle of a downpour or driven by three drunk teenagers checking if the autopilot works or not.
In my case it happened in the month of July with the car parked in an underground garage without coverage. Until today he has not done it again. I cross my fingers

It is a pain because with the app not working, you can't access the car and the proximity sensor not unlocking it, all you have is the Volvo card with pretty basic functions regarding charging times and so forth.. It's sorted itself out now regarding the app but begs the question what's next?

If the fob isn't opening from a distance, you don't need to resort to the app or the key card.

You can still use the fob as a key card.

The best one today after charging, I forgot to disable driver alerts, and a message pops up on the screen to say driver not detected!
