Heating
I drove with Twin version 192km highway, 25,5kwh/100km, average speed 82km/h with 80% battery use, most road RWD and some parts AWD. Heating was 26 °C and manual middle setting, 0 °C outside and snowing, some use of heated seat and steering wheel. Usually similar route takes 65-70% of battery depends on weather.
That's it I have had it No matter what settings got cold whatever done dozens of re sets. Drove 250 miles plus
Finally in the windy wet weather at 70 on the M4 heating failed
Whole car misted up. Had to turn off. Absolutely no view every window just missed up and ran with water. Punchlng buttons no different.
Completed journey to Bristol on A totals for safety.
Dealer had no loan cars
First appointment Early December
Told to ring Assistance. Got told off. They do not attend for no heating.
I said In this weather undriveable cannot clear windows. Cannot stay warm. My wife has an illness so needs warmth.
This is shocking
Getting a Techie tomorrow.
What a total crock of shit

I understand your need to vent but would mind providing more details ?
If you go to the car, set the temp to High and fan to Max, do you get no heat at all ? Did this work in the past and it's not working now ? Since you said something failed while driving and your windows misted, I'm guessing at least the dehumidification function worked before.
I did notice something today. When it started getting cold a few weeks, it was anywhere from 7 to 12-15C during the day but the sun was still shining and setting the temp to 25C I'd get cold air. Then winter came and it was cloudy with -4 to 2C and heating was working properly and setting the temp to 25C worked great. Today was sunny but very windy with about 5C outside. The car was blowing cold air again with temp set to 25.
Long story short : I think the temperature sensor it uses for climate control is getting heat up by the sun or other external sources and that's why on cloudy days the heating is working properly but on sunny days it doesn't.

Update 1.4 ‘The air conditioning system now accounts for sunlight when you set a specific temperature’

Any normal car I had and have, if heating is set to manual, should always blow air at the requested temperature.
If set to auto this is different and the temperature sensor is used, so it might be malfunctioning or fooled by the wheather conditions (obviously this shouldn't happen anyway)
In my area it's not yet too cold when I need to drive, about 10 to 16 °C, so no problems with heating and demisting until now.

Been trying to get consistent heat from my car since Wednesday. It's been bitterly cold-1
The Friday storms. Not seen any sun.
ANY setting you wish may or may not trigger some heat. After 30 to 40 minutes on Hi max fan manual is a good bet. Drop it to 24,25,26 stone cold again.
On start up/setting off the fan rooms fast slow makes strange noises like RECIRCULATE. It is real bonkers.
Technician been and gone. No faults found.
Bring recovered tomorrow and getting a hire car.
AC comes and goes you know when it's on as it dehumidifies an and goes cold

At least they are taking it in to have a proper look at. The climate control in the ex30 may not be the best but what you are describing definitely is not right. Something is up and I hope they find it quickly.

Today was the first "cold" day since I bought the car. As I had read here about all kinds of problems with the heating that expelled cold air etc... I had directly set 26°C as the target temperature. In automatic, low mode, and with A/C off. The truth is that it was a relative surprise, because as soon as I got in the car it started to blow hot air at a higher speed (it sounded louder) than the low mode usually has. It stayed like that for a couple of minutes and then it went back to the normal speed of low mode. The car was pleasantly warm.
I don't have a thermometer, nor was the temperature freezing (about 5-7°C) but it seemed reasonable to me. Let's see how it responds now that the real cold weather comes.
