Sorry for the questions. Early days. We are both enjoying the driving and agility and car parking ease of this car!
Set the car up for my wife after collection all tickety boo. Apple CarPlay etc all set up and switchable from the main screen to use Google Maps or CarPlay etc.
But then set up the car yesterday evening for me & my iPhone.
All went well but now no sign of Apple CarPlay for wife. Tried to set it up again (and turned my phone off to prevent interference) but would not set up with Apple CarPlay like before with her phone.
Both iPhones show up as registered devices on the screen. But car refusing to set up CarPlay again with wife’s phone.
Car set up under her profile already.
Do I need to remove my iPhone from the system?
Can it only link up with 1 iPhone CarPlay?

My partner and I both use CarPlay with our own phones. Other than having to start CarPlay manually every now and then it seems to work ok. We are operating from one profile as we only use the fob at the moment.

Thanks for the reply. That is exactly the same set up we had with our car. 1 profile/1 fob. 2 iPhones. But wife’s Apple CarPlay now disappeared and refusing to set/connect up.
So this evening I have used a seperate key card (not the fob) and set up a separate profile with me and my iPhone (again) under that new profile.
Will see if my wife’s CarPlay is now recognised. We set that up again under her profile after I deleted my iPhone and started the set up again earlier today. Also linked her Google account to the car as she uses gmail so had a Google password. Was all working perfectly again.
Now to see if both of us have a seamless experience when each of us drives the car.
This cars software certainly seems a bit iffy to say the least.

Something not quite right with our car regards Apple CarPlay. Was out in it all day after linking and setting up my iPhone. Got in to it yesterday and again, no sign of Apple CarPlay but the in car system is connected to my phone so I can still make and receive calls.
And my wife got in to it this morning to go to work and same for her. No sign of or ability to use Apple CarPlay with her iPhone but again the car is linked up with the phone. Pressing the CarPlay on screen icon just sends us both to the BlueTooth page for set up where it says "no device connected" Bizarre.
And this morning the proximity fob did not wake the car up. Only after pulling the door handle did it wake up.

Exactly same issue. Carplay worked fine the other day, now i get the same Bluetooth message issue that you mentioned. It's particularly annoying because Carplay is the only way i can listen to the radio without it cutting out every time i brake

I can’t help with CarPlay, I’ve never used it, but it’s common that the fob doesn’t open the doors and you need to pull the handle a couple of times.

One of (the few) updates improved the radio reception but I’ve heard that to cure the cutting out required the wiring and/or brake lights to be changed – and Volvo will avoid doing that if at all possible.

Hi Mark, if you are keeping the fob in range of the car the remote unlock feature will be disabled after some time. We keep ours in a tin at home which takes it out of range. (The fob not the car).

I keep my fob in a metal box but from time to time it still doesn’t open the doors. It caused a bit of a panic the first time but now it’s just one of the annoying features of the EX30.

Yes Geoff, ours does that every now and then too. Always when it’s raining. I think it knows.
