Did a home car wash yesterday after a rough ferry crossing with salt spray. Both driver and passenger side front windows (fully closed) steamed up around the top seals, and also more worrying the rear nearside light cluster steamed up inside and still hasn't fully gone away today. I didn't use the lance on full power or too close.
Any others have this yet?

Hi.
Just wait for the colder temperatures outside....this car is sh*t when it comes to climatizing inside of the car.
I had an V60 earlier, always set on 22 degrees and no problems at all.
My EX30 is also set to 22 degrees, but not even near to make it comfortable on the inside, not even in "normal" weather conditions.
The inside temperature is very unstable.
This morning I had about 1 degree outside, and suddenly from nowhere all the windows turned foggy....had to put the fans on max to see anything.
And not to speak about the pre-heating, I really don't look forward to de-icing period.
The app doesn't allow you to select anything regarding pre-heating.
Not what to pre-heat or what temperature you would like, and it will never be solved according the support-team. "The car will always strive for 22 degress inside the car."
It's really funny how an integration with Google could go so wrong.
As I mentioned I had an V60 earlier with the Sensus-system, yes a bit old fashioned but it was stable and realiable

I already hand washed my EX30 3 or 4 times with a high pressure washer but I never experienced such problems.
If it occurs only on your left light I think there is a manufacturing or mounting problem of that light sealing.

The same happens to mine every time I wash it, both sides mist up. The windscreen mists up too, I don’t think the screen is leaking but moisture is probably getting in through the fresh air intake.
There are plenty of Volvo Amazon's still on the road but I don’t think there will be many 50-year-old EX30's.

IMHO this defect is unacceptable, never had such problems with the lights of any of the cars I have owned.
And if the same would happen to me I'd require a complete light replacemenent, clearly it's a defect.
Have you checked with your dealer if this is an EX30 known probem?

You may be right because if the mode carwash is enabled it turns to recirculation, must be for some reason.Geoff wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 11:48 am The same happens to mine every time I wash it, both sides mist up. I have washed it by hand so far with careful high pressure, then it is parked so I guess climate control is off and then no damp air is sucked in so I had no issues.
But ofcourse taillights fogging up is probably defective sealing or something like that. Job for the dealer I would think.
Would like mine to last 20 years or so if I will live through that, do not want to buy another car anymore
