Adapt to Speed Limit

Hi all just installed the latest 1.42 update and this feature has appeared.

I enabled the feature in settings and I have tested it and it does not appear to be working. As I pass speed limit signs the car displays these but cruise control does not change or Adapt to the changing speed limits.

Am I doing something wrong?

The first time I enabled it the same thing happened. I switched it on and off again and hey presto it started working. Can’t say I like it much though but maybe that’s just me.

It does not adapt upwards from what it is initially set by the driver. Only downward. And back up max to what the driver initially set.

I would love to use this feature but I still find the speed displayed is wrong for the road. I've even been on a motorway where it says I should do 40. I wish there were a way to report, or know where they're getting the data from.

It gets its data from Google maps, supplemented by signs it sees.

It is not perfect. On 2 occasions, at the same particular place, I have had it set for 65, but cruising at 40 (and showing a target speed of 40) even though the car's display showed the speed limit shown (correctly) was 30. The car (ACC set to speed limit) was cruising at 40 and beeping at me for exceeding the 30 speed limit it knew about.

Alphaspere - it is working as it is meant to.

You might want to obey all speed limits on your journey but not exceed a maximum speed which is less than the motorway maximum speed limit. You set the to the maximum speed thst you want to do and it will do the job (except when it gets it wrong).

I find the ACC works quite well, except that it slows for a gentle curve in the road, but the speed limit indications are so often wrong as to make any linking of what the car thinks the limit is to the cruise control useless. Fortunately, it appears from the comments here that it has to be enabled so at least that is something that doesn’t have to be turned off before the car can be driven.
If only all the other driver aids had to be enabled rather than active by default.

Mine unfortunately is completely non functioning despite trying everything.

I called Volvo for support and they do not have a clue.
