Quick question ..
All of you that have purchased an EX30 would you buy again or do you regret it due to software issues ?
Would you still buy it
I don’t regret buying it but I’m disappointed that Volvo or Geely or whoever is responsible isn’t taking all the software issues a bit more seriously. The basic Geely platform is pretty good, its just unfortunate that Volvo released the EX30 before it was ready to be sold. And knowing now how quickly used EX30 were to become available I probably wouldn’t have ordered it last November for delivery in July. I could have bought a low miles one for less with the same faults as my new one.

Yes! Have really enjoyed the car - although I haven’t suffered the pain a lot of people have experienced. I would like CarPlay in the car but it’s been a blast to drive since I got it in April

I certainly regret pre-ordering then waiting 11 months for delivery, and not simply buying a demo car a month later out of the showroom.
The markdowns on the latter have been much more than I'd expected. I have as a result "lost" many thousands unnecessarily.
I paid list - £33,795.
My dealer presently has a demo car on for £28,440 - now that's a Plus Extended retailing originally for £38,545. So over £10k cheaper than it was and over £5k cheaper than my standard range car!
An Ultra would have cost me over £8k more pre-ordered, but there's one up for £34,790, less than £1k more than I paid!
Autotrader is currently valuing my car at £23,239 part-ex - that's much less than I was expecting on a "desirable" new model!
My previous car cost me £13,149 and I traded it in nearly six years later for £8,650.
The EX30's GREAT though! And I'm not selling soon, but probably will after three years.

Not regretted it once. I love our EX30 twin motor performance in the Ultra trim. For the money, there is nothing that matches the performance, build quality, and tech. I’ve only experienced minor bugs (no ability to adjust the volume of music, once the time shown the wrong time).
The only updates I’m holding out for are:
- ability to toggle performance mode via the steering wheel shortcut button
- stronger regen
- phone key
Would also love a dash cam mode built into the car

Sadly this is the case with all new EVs at the moment.gloucester wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 3:41 pm I certainly regret pre-ordering then waiting 11 months for delivery, and not simply buying a demo car a month later out of the showroom.

I know it’s not the best feeling, but it’s worth noting that the ex-demo car you mentioned would have been hammered almost every mile it’s been driven, so don’t feel so bad for having a car you’ve known and taken care of since day one
I experienced equally as bad depreciation on my last EV, and was only able to justify going through it all over again by ensuring I was happy to keep this car for a long time (previously, I’ve only kept a car 1-2 years).

Love mine. Not looking too closely at resale values. But I’m definitely keeping this for a few years - it’s great (and I can say I cancelled my first order due to the initial software bugs…). Glad I went with it in the end.
