More info on rolling out the update. Week 35 update 1.4.2 at the dealers, week 37 available for OTA. Next update scheduled for week 46. Unfortunately, there is no mention of what the updates involve.

Would love the EX30 to have the opportunity to change speed by ex. pressing the ok button when a new speed change is detected. and also the display of the real speed when passing a speed sign

Is it confirmed that Apple CarPlay is coming with 1.4.1?
Since I'm new, if the update can only be first installed at the dealer, will I get a notification from them or do I have to take care of it myself?

What’s meant by the dealer getting it 3 weeks early is that new cars sold will be delivered with the newest software. Then 3 weeks later, the update becomes available OTA as a download. You can ask your dealer to install it for you if you were particularly in need of it ASAP, but I don’t see that as normal practice.

A question for those of you who are eagerly awaiting Apple Car Play. What is the reason for this need? I have only used ACP with a friend's phone in his car, back in 2022, and it didn't offer anything that Android Auto doesn't offer. Yes, just like Android Auto allows you to use messaging functions, which Android Auto allows but not Android Automotive in Volvo... my question comes because I get the impression that the future integration of ACP or A A may not be complete and Volvo may restrict the use of certain applications and functions that may be distracting. I also hope and wish that Android Auto is included and that it reads my messages or I can send them using only my voice, but otherwise, the interface it had in 2022 seemed a bit outdated to me, full of bright colors, and everything a bit cluttered. I also don't know how Android (Google) is going to integrate Siri on its own OS. ACP has normally been integrated on "dumber" or more neutral OS. But this is ultimately trying to run an Apple OS on an Android system. It's like mixing apples and oranges. If it works out well, they deserve a medal, but I'm afraid it will always be better to use A. Automotive's own than ACP. Although I can't give an opinion beyond what I experienced briefly and what I read in Reddit-type opinions and so on.

If you're not an iPhone user, it's not for you as well. If you are, you understand why so many are waiting for Apple CarPlay.
