Hello everyone, new owner over here.
I was wondering what bugs fixes and features are to be released in the next update. Apple Carplay is known promised. Is antything else known?
It would be really great to have the attention alarm off fixed in my profile, same with lane assist (where legal).
Which would be your top three picks?
1.5 Update - What to expect?
I would like 2 important improvements, which would bring it up to the spec of existing 5 year old cars:
Auto lowering mirrors on reverse.
Programable steering wheel switch to change between cruise control and speed limiter
(My last car, 2019 Volvo XC40, had both as standard and I can't understand why they wern't on the EX30 from the start.)

There's a button for that specifically already, its the second from the left on the upper row of buttons. You can read about the controls here: https://www.volvocars.com/uk/support/ca ... 6870d1a409
I'm afraid you are wrong.kistrand wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 6:00 amThere's a button for that specifically already, its the second from the left on the upper row of buttons. You can read about the controls here: https://www.volvocars.com/uk/support/ca ... 6870d1a409
This button allows you to activate/deactivate parts of Pilot Assist (maybe Steering Assist?). It does not allow you to switch from Pilot Assist (ie - Cruise Control) and change to the Speed Limiter function. This can only be done by going through two menus in the settings menu. (A dangerous distraction if you want to change it every time you enter or leave a town or village as you drive a rural A or B road.)

Not to expect, but maybe to wish for...
As mentioned earlier. Waze working on the move
- A stable Spotify (it keeps logging me out, and Volvo just blames Vodafone...)
- The possibility to control the pre-heating not just activate or de-activate (would be nice to set degrees, seat and/or steering-wheel heating).
- Phone as Key (promised a long time now from Volvo)
- A more in-deep check of the ongoing charging, not just an estimated ready time...I mean sometimes the fast-chargers/destination chargers are faulty
- A faster way to activate Performance Mode.
- Improvement of the radio reception

Welcome to this forum.
Volvo is very silent when it comes to putting out updates - they suddenly appear.
Just keep an eye out on this page:

Auto lowering mirrors on reverse would be very nice but Geely, or whoever it is developing the software, have plenty of other faults to fix first.
The speed limiter doesn’t bother me, I never use it as the speed limit that the car indicates is very often not what the limit actually is. Fortunately, the ACC seems to work okay.
And the driver attention alarm doesn’t bother me either, it has only sounded once when I deliberately yawned to see if it worked.
Something I would like is for the front motor to engage when rear traction is lost, although this obviously only applies to the twin motor performance. I have driven all wheel drive cars since the Ford Sierra XR 4X4 was introduced, all of them were permanent four wheel with variable bias and I’m disappointed that on the EX30 it has to be selected from the screen.

Twin Motor Performance Ultra - Vapour Grey/Indigo
The great thing about the speed limiter is that it doesn't use the speed limit (right or wrong) shown in the car.
You manually set it to the limit you want, and thats it.
No false readings.
