Hi everyone, there may be posts about this already but I would really appreciate some step by step instructions. My car currently is displaying an LTE signal all the time even when I am in known 5G areas. I activated IITC via the app and I wondered what internet signal I should be getting and if it is even set up properly.
1. What should the car be showing in terms of internet.
2. What can I do to resolve any problems, steps to take etc.
3. Is it a problem for the dealership.
Thanks in advance for your always helpful replies.
Vodafone's internet is a pain in the bones. I don't know who is to blame, Vodafone or Volvo...or both, but it took me almost a week to have Internet in the car. Now, when the car sleeps in the garage, sometimes it takes a long time to receive data from the internet connection. At times I have even had to resort to the shared mobile connection again. I hope that one day they release the internet carrier and we can use one of our choice with our own eSIM.
It's important that your account configuration is made using your email, not your phone number. Seems that phone number doesn't works.

Hi, ours always just shows LTE as the data connection. Can stream content to the car just fine ( YouTube etc). 5G is obviously quicker but I don’t know if the included data connection is 5G enabled. Will depend on coverage with the Volvo data provider too.
Just like any mobile connection mine can show 5 bars of 5g or 1 of LTE depending on signal strength. The 5 g signal is better at home where I am on EE which is weak.
Cheers Andy!
