We picked up the EX30 Ultra 2024 Mist today, my wife will have the EX30 and I will have the XC90 D5 Inscription Dec 2015 (I am really happy with this). Great saving in Fuel, I had been spending around £120 every 10 days on Diesel, so it will be interesting to see the difference.
we looked at Tesla but I feel that this is Musks hobby and he may eventually get board with it. Volvo have a good reputation and I think they will eventually fix the issues.
Our complaints so far are, Timer for the Charging in the app does not work and lack of Apple CarPlay. I am not a fan of Google but I think because Google partnered on the design there is some resistance there and Apple CarPlay may not come any time soon or at least until testing takes place on the newer models of other Volvo Cars. (XC90 especially).
Opinión after a week and a long trip.

Further to my earlier post, aside from Apple CarPlay, the charging bug is fixed in latest update, once I logged into my EX30 App and connected to the contract for the Car Sim, everything started working, Previously the car had been set up on my wife's phone but was not linked to her Volvo ID, The Volvo ID for the App to configure everything must be that of on the Order for the car.
One question.
When the charging timer was not working on the app, did the car's charging timer work if set in the settings screen?
The reason I ask is that 1.3.1 broke my previously working charging timer. 1.4 did not fix it. Now I can't set charging timing in the car - the car charges as soon as it is plugged in even when it shouldn't.
I have just realised that I never actually tried to set it in the app, and I was wondering if that would make a difference, or does the app just set the (in my case defective) car's system.
This is my only software issue - and its not a biggy as my home charger had its own timer anyway.

I have never used the car timer. Instead I use the home charger timer and it works perfect. Why you need to use the car timer? Maybe redundant data. Maybe everyone has their own charging scenarios.

Thanks.
The only reason was that the car's timer was much easier to set up than my home charger timer was, so I used the car's.
Once the car's stopped working I was forced to use my home charger's instead. However it's app has now been updated and is now much easier to use, so I am no longer concerned about the car's timer not working.

Also very happy with my car fwiw. Internet setup was instant once I clicked in the app. Not had any major issues so far (touch wood)…
