Suggest you join us in finding things to moan about then Volvo more likely to fix them!!
Of course the car has things that could be improved, or rather, could be better, but most of them we know about, or should, before buying the car. I would like the rear seats to be sliding (like #1) I would like the "frunk" to be larger in the models without a dual engine (it is terribly small) I would like matrix headlights, I would like to be able to choose the wool upholstery in the finish plus...or being able to choose individually, panoramic roof, 360 camera, I would like the remote to have a button or two...but those are things that I already knew before buying it and therefore I do not complain about it. However, I do agree that I can join the complaints about few thing:

-Tilt down mirrors
-Opening and starting only with the mobile phone
-Some applications do not work as they should (that is not a Volvo thing),
-Some graphics of the screen (speed signs, car view...) were shortcuts to functions,
-The screen Fonts could be bigger if you need it (battery, time, warnings...) even at the expense of Google Maps or the center menu .
-Lights could be put it in manual mode without having to enter the menu
-Increase the capabilities of the assistant,
-To be able to send and receive WhatsApp by voice (without showing it on the screen) like on Android
-No lag in measuring the distance to obstacles when parking, ...and more things I could say and I can't remember now.
-I dont miss Apple Car Play. Maybe Android Auto...and only sometimes.

I would be very grateful if a manufacturer came out with some type of coating for the central storage spaces. Some type of felt, or soft rubber or... so that the keys, lighter, coins or whatever you have there, do not bang and rattle every time you take a curve or brake. That does bother me

Even with that said, for me, perhaps because I haven't driven it much yet, these are things that weigh much less on the scale than the good things this car has. Only time will tell.

There is a lot of room for improvement in software management, but I have driven quite a few cars and except for Tesla, which has the best software(in my opinion), all the ones I have tried have their weaknesses or lacks.

I’d never actually had a look under the bonnet until you mentioned this so went to see for myself.
We have the dual motor and agreed the frunk is a total let down!
Having to lift the entire bonnet (unlike the model 3) gave me a brief feeling of excitement as I had a family sized pack of toilet rolls that wouldn’t fit in the boot, alas to see a landscape of grey plastic and a cubby hole hardly big enough for a magazine is really poor!
They mayaswell not bothered!

The frunk was specifically designed to hold one packet of IKEA meatballs.

I have a SMER, and I understand that despite having no motor in the front, the frunk is the same size as in the twin-motor - which seems a waste of space, but would save Volvo money and trouble not having to keep two different frunks in stock.

Coming from an ICE car, any frunk is an improvement on only having an engine under the bonnet.

I don't use my frunk for day to day use, it is my emergency kit store, saving boot space for the day to day stuff. I have managed to store the following emergency kit in the frunk:

Volvo charging lead (my home charger is tethered)
Puncture repair kit
Wheel lock nut tool
Waterproof mat
HI-viz waterproof over-trouser
2×Hi-viz vests

Hopefully I will very rarely need to open the frunk again, but if I get a puncture on a wet day I am ready. And all that stuff is out of the boot and out of the way. Even a small frunk has a use.

[/cita]

Smart guy. Well planned.

That’s an impressive piece of packing. The twin motor comes with a three phase charging lead and I gave up trying to wrestle it into the frunk.

Actually I think all EX30s come with the same charger cable. My SMER Ultra has the 22kW charging capability for 3 phase too (although I can only use 7kW with ny house electrics).

It was a push, but the cable can by squeezed in with a bit if trial and error. You need to put the two plugs in first beside each other, then coil up the cable really tight from the middle (where it is bent double) towards the plugs.

It can be done, but wouldn't be worth the trouble if you were using it on a regular basis. But to make space in the frunk for long term storage it does work.

I eventually resorted to buying another 22kW 3-phase 7 meters cable with a lower thickness that fits better.

Our three phase cable lives in a bag under the boot floor. Bought a single phase lead we use at home which lives outside coiled on a wall hook. Putting the breakdown kit in the frunk is a great idea though. If we have to charge away from home we tend to use the fast dc chargers which have their own lead.
