Mine does this all the time and I just started a new post about it. I'm trying to get people who are seeing this problem to report it to Volvo. I don't think they have enough people complaining about it to care.

I have the same problem after updating to version 1.5.2. After leaving the underground car park it takes 5-10 minutes for the car to recognise its position.

I also have the same problem. Volvo service centre could not fix it last Monday.

The driving journal within the EX30 App always shows my home departure/arrival location to be in a road which is approximately 25 yards distance away from I actually live. Its more of an irritant (to see the wrong street name) rather than a problem, but I wish there was a way to correct it.

Does this error appear at other locations, or just at your home?

If it only at your ome - then maybe the fault is in Google Maps data. If you open Google Maps on your phone while at home (standing beside the car), does it show your phone in the correct location, or where it shows the car to be?

Thanks SP1959 for your thoughts. I have not noticed the problem at other locations, but you are right in that Google Maps on my phone is showing me (blue dot) at a different spot to where it is showing my house/driveway to be.

In that case, its not the car's GPS that is wrong. It is showing the car's location corectly.

The problem is that Google have managed to displace the map slightly so that your house is shown in the wrong location, not you, your phone, or your car.

This happens quite a bit, that topographical features are shown in slightly the wrong place - which is why Google Maps should never be used by hill walkers in mountain areas (people have died walking off incorrectly marked cliff paths in mist, clouf and rain).

AHH what a nightmare ours has to undergo 3 to 15 infotainment resets to get it to work. Remote Unlocking then relocking..24 hours later same again.
Just done the TCAM reset tonight.
Booked into dealers 25th.
No one has ever heard of it.
No loan cars until mid may.
Service advisor sent me all the paperwork and links to reset and download maps.
FOR 2014 TO 2016 SENSUS systems .
BONKERS
VOLVO closed the phone lines.
Ringing tomorrow.
Cheers Andy!

My car has been in the shop for 5 days now and this is one of the main problems they are looking at. On the first night the car was in their parking lot and the position it reported drifted by about 500m through the night! The car was outside with excellent GPS visibility and didn't move at all. After they drove it and it corrected itself, it hasn't drifted again in the last 3 days. They reloaded firmware onto the DHU and they are monitoring the car while it stays in one location. They won't explain why reloading firmware on the DHU might fix a GPS problem (GPS is in the TCAM2) and they won't acknowledge that there is a problem (even though it seems like they are aware of it). I'm supposed to get the car back tomorrow. I hope the problem is fixed, but I wish they would tell me what they know to give me a little more confidence.

We think Volvo knows about the problem because they don't want/need any of my position offset pictures or videos (even when it drifted in the dealer parking lot). Maybe Volvo just doesn't care, but I think they might look at the evidence if they didn't already know about the problem. Of course the Volvo Tech Team won't answer any questions from me or the dealer.

Volvo customer service online is terrible. They have stopped responding to me at all and they were never helpful in the first place. At least the dealer has the Volvo Tech Team working with them. If you really want a problem reported/recorded and certainly if you want anything done about it, you need to bring the car into the dealer. Ideally, you get the online service and the dealer to work together on the problem.

Agree with EVERYTHING you say.
My experiences are the same.
I was fortunate in speaking to a really brilliant lady in Volvo support called Amanda who I have spoken to before and she was totally splendid.

Sadly no cars and no cures yet and Technical do not know.
Did a TCAM reset and holding up for 24 hours now.
Mid May to get a car.
25th to get out collected and taken two dealer.
I am on a subscription.
Entitled to a fully functioning/working car 24/7.
But who decides the T,s and T,cs of that definition.
Cheers Andy!
