I've set it off a couple of times. I had the Fob in my pocket and got out of the car (leaving my wife in the passenger seat). I was only a few feet away (adding glass to the bottle bank) when the car locks the doors, folds the mirrors and then 'panics' and sets of the horn and lights - because there's a life form trapped in the car. Wife opens the door and the car stops its panic. After the second time it happened, I've learned to leave the Fob in the car when my wife is still in it. :-)

It is tp prevent busy parents accidently leaving their children locked in the car when they get to the shops/office. In hot climates children can get cooked and die very quickly. It happens every year in Australia and southern states of USA.

My alarm's gone off twice seconds after the car's locked - with no life forms in it!

This may be a great safety feature for the US but in the UK where the temperature rarely gets warm it just means you can't ever leave your dog in the car without also leaving the key.
I've tried the bypass option hidden deep in the menus but of course it doesn't work, as described above, the car panics and alarms go mad.

I don’t use the fob anymore for the reasons listed above. Using the card key is by far the best. If you move it across from the charging pad it’s stays unlocked with or without the wife in! Perfect when being valeted… otherwise this car has got a mind of its own.

I've had this sign of life warning several times now. It is annoying when I know there is no one in the car!! I hope they fix this in the next update.
