Software update 1.3. expected timing:

· VIDA release 24w16d3 (04/15/24)

· Launch OTA 24w18d1 (04/29/24)

Improvements:

Software update 1.3 includes over 170 software improvements, most of which affect the center display and the infotainment head unit (DHU).

Specific improvements:

· Storage of the AC current limit (previously reset the charging power to 6A after a driving cycle) |

· Improved display in the center display for trailers or bicycle racks (trailer and bicycle rack lighting / automatic trailer control function / notification when uncoupling)|

· Improvement in radio reception and functionality

· Improved rear camera view

· Reduced range deviation between Google and driver information on the center display

Internet connection:

A large part of the impairments in the internet connection have been fixed in the backend. Due to the complexity, further improvements are being worked on. The improvements run continuously and independently of the OTA update. In case of connection problems again, please submit a bug report via TiE.

New function car wash mode:

This function automatically closes windows, automatically folds mirrors, turns on recirculated air and deactivates automatic windshield wipers.

Volvo EX30 app:

The improvements to the EX30 app also run continuously and are also independent of the OTA update. Here too, the cause of the impairments lies in the backend.

The basis for connecting and registering private customers with Vodafone is a stable internet connection in the vehicle. As soon as this is guaranteed, pairing and registration should be possible without any problems. Registration is only required for private customers. Registration is not necessary for fleet customers. Please note the following points when registering for private customers:

A telephone number must be stored in the customer's Volvo ID. If you already have an existing Volvo ID, this may need to be supplemented. This is necessary for the MFA Multi Factor authentication,

The information in the Volvo ID, in particular email address and telephone number, must match the information provided during Vodafone registration.

If it is not possible to pair the EX30 app with the vehicle, we ask you to submit an error report via TIE. The colleagues in the backend receive the relevant information

Information about the type and number of problems and can take care of the solution promptly.

The incorrect display of the term of the digital services has already been corrected.

Recommendations if software errors occur:

• Restart the center display using the steering wheel buttons

• When the context bar disappears, press and hold the Home button for 10 seconds

• For the Plus and Ultra equipment lines, it is recommended to change the greeting function setting to ON before delivery. This improves the stability of the key's functionality

tags. No measures are required for vehicles that have already been delivered.

If the charging cable cannot be unlocked there are various .options:

· Switch off the charging process in the Volvo Cars app.

· Use the center display to stop the charging process.

· Click on Stop charging at the charging station

Hello all,
Charging issue software can’t come soon enough!
It’s driving me crazy!

I tend to charge between 12am and 5am (8.96p per kWh) so whilst my fantastic Zappi is programmed to go the car always reverts back to 6amps and consequently charges at 1.2kwh…. Rubbish. Yet again last night I noticed it was only charging at the lower rate and I just didn’t fancy getting out of bed at that time to reset it! It seems my ex30 suffers from some of the issues already identified, but come on Volvo get a grip!. Last night 18 miles of range added @ 5 hrs charging.

If you set the charging limit to 32A, plug in the charger and then lock the car it should stay on 32A even if you have a scheduled charge at midnight. Note though, it wasn’t working for me when I was using the proximity fob, only when I just use the keycards to lock / unlock. It seems like if you let the proximity fob anywhere near the car it will occasionally wake up the car and reset the charge limit.

HiTwiex30. That system has been working for me for 2 weeks now and VOLVO recommend it as a workaround too. There comment is if it goes to sleep it will reset.

I am so please they are correcting the colour balance of the rear camera. It was a worry for me????

Today I went to the dealer in Netherlands and they still don’t have the update yet. When I told them this week is week 16 they were surprised. Unfortunately my internet issue still not resolved after mechanics looked at it. My hope is the latest update
