I find DAB reception poor for channels such as Absolute Radio. The BBC stuff is fine, but if I am popping out at lunchtime I can't tolerate Jeremy Vine, even for a 10 minute schelp to Tesco. So I switch to Absolute 80s but it cuts out all the time. Can't decide of it is
A. Weak signal
B. Poor aerial set up in the car
C. Interference from my dash cam
Or all of the above.
Anyway, is there an app in the car I can download in order to stream the Absolute channels? Looking for something easy installed in the car without the need to do something through the phone.
Thanks.

I listen to Absolute radio and on the few occasions when I drive my wife’s EX30 (which is as little as possible because the car is riddled with issues and is infuriating) I used the radio but for 9 of the 11 months it had the issue with radio cutting out every single time you braked or slowed down. So I used CarPlay with the Absolute Radio app or Rayo app and when it works that was fine and no cutting out. But the car is very temperamental about when you can connect to CarPlay. Sometimes it will. Sometimes it won’t. Sometimes many presses on the screen will work. Sometimes it won’t.
I know that there are various apps you can get to listen to the radio and TuneIn Radio is one of them that I’ve used in the past and Absolute is on there. I know it’s on the Google App Store so you should be able to get it on the EX30 screen. But I’ve not tried it myself on the car and won’t be because frankly I won’t be surprised if downloading a radio app that works on every other device and car will inevitably have some issue on the EX30

I don't listen to the radio too much so I'm not sure about alternative radio apps.
I've just realise that if you go to Google play store, search for Radio and then use the filter on devices, you can specify the EX30 to see everything that compatible for your car -

Twin Motor Ultra | Crystal White / Indigo | 2025 (v1.5.2)
Since the 1.5.2 update my DAB radio has improved. It now switches between regional stations automatically whereas befor I had to change manually....
I am of the age where I actually listen to the radio - LOL

Hi, I often listen to virgin or absolute in the morning drive to work. The stations keep cutting in and out, especially when I come to a standstill. If I move a couple of inches it comes back on and then cuts out again when I stop.
Anyhow. I started using TuneIn radio. It’s on the App Store thingy. Sign up to a free account (not premium) and it uses the 4g/5g signal of the car rather than digital radio or your phone data.
Sound is absolutely perfect now with no cutouts. You can get all the Absolute and Virgin channel's and loads more. Downside is you can’t get BBC Chanel’s through it for some reason. You have to go back to DAB for them.
