Wired CarPlay possible?

I noticed I can only use wireless CarPlay. So I need to connect Bluetooth in order to use CarPlay in my car. But I prefer wired CarPlay without the need for BT connection and syncing all data to my car. Does anyone know if that is possible?

Unfortunately not possible, as the USB outlets are only for power and not available for data.

User manual:

USB port specifications: Type C socket, version 3.0

Normal charge

• Voltage supply 5 V

• Current supply max. 3.0 A

Quick charge

• Voltage supply 9 V

• Current supply max. 2.0 A

Apparently the USB limitation is due to the Android Automotive software used by Volvo.

At least you can use Apple CarPlay...others don't even have that.
