Ohme charger & Octopus intelligent Go

Apologies for bumping up this thread. I just noticed that Ohme Home Pro can now see the state of charge the car has. It gets updated on the Ohme app when the cable is plugged in. What needs to be done first is to pair the car using the Ohme app and providing the Volvo id linked to the car. Now the charging time is calculated and the exact time to reach the set charge is visible.

I follow OHME's suggestions. As long as you are on thecorrect OCTOPUS energy tarrif and the OHME pro knows this [ASK THEM.
Plug it in after 5pm.

Dumb charger or what it just charges at 6.76 KW cheap rate until full.
Its an EX30 it knows that and thats all.
Its not linked.

My screenshot was intended to show that the Ohme app has retrieved the charge level of the car. This feature was never there earlier. I have placed a yellow arrow next to it. In the Settings at the bottom of the screen, there is an option 'Manage my EV'. In there the car needs to be paired by providing the EX30 app login details. Once that is completed, Ohme will retrieve the current state of the car and schedule the charge accordingly when plugged in.

YES DID THAT NOW GONE BACK ON IT

Reason being that it would charge according to Octopus energys avaiability.

So deleted did not pair # Now just plug in after 5pm charges to full asap at basic cheap rate no sessions hourly halts on offs etc etc etc then just stops

I’ve given up with this. One day the Ohme Pro recognises the charge and the next it doesn’t. Pairing the car hardly works when it’s decided not to recognise the battery level. Have done everything in terms of Ohme advice.

I do not have my Ohme Home Pro paired. I see no advantage in it.

I just set the charger to charge at off-peak rate times and use the Volvo EX30 app to see the charge level.

But I am not on Octopus, maybe you need to for it?

My Ohme charger now pairs with my car. I think they updated the app a few days ago to rectify this issue.

Hi disco_mart, I have this charger and I am with Octopus. What are the advantages of pairing the charger with the car. I was aware that Ohme were pushing through some updates...Will the pairing just naturally happen as part of the update??? Thanks in advance of your response...
