Solar sunroof

Hi!
I'm want to buy a new EX30 but unsure on what version to buy, Ultra or Plus because of the sunroof.

Any of actual owners can give me your opinion about the sunroof? Does it block a lot of heat from sun?

I live in Mexico City which is mostly sunny and between 25-30 celsius, but I dont want to get my head burnt with the Volvo's sunroof.

I'm in the UK and the glass roof seems great.
Only tested to around 26-28c for a few days as its been raining a lot since I got the car nearly 4 months ago.
The roof is waterproof.

My Plus gets very hot inside. I suspect much more will come through the windscreen than the roof in the Ultra.

The sunroof question was on my mind when I ordered, in particular with the months of sunshine in the summer here in Perth. I decided that the coating would probably work and the benefits outweighed the risk. Backup plan A, if it is too much in the summer, is to tint it. Back up plan B is to buy the flimsy clip on shade that Volvo sell but I'd prefer plan A.
So far, in the winter sun, it's been great.

As a UK user I cannot compare to those in hotter parts of the world.

However I can say that this car, with its full sunroof, does not get any warmer than my last car which had no sunroof.

However the glass had been treated, it seems to reflect heat away just as well as painted metal would.

Sunroof works well in southern France, but it's not been a scorcher this year so far.

I have not noticed the car getting any hotter than our other car which has a tin roof. What I have noticed is the genius idea of pre conditioning via the app. Really works a treat although we are talking uk levels of sunshine here.

Hey @brunel44, I got my Ultra delivered last week, over here in Cuernavaca and I am happy to report that the sunroof is not heating the car as much as I was afraid would happen. I also have this sunshade on order just in case it turns out I may need it during the hotter less cloudy months
