New Member and New to Volvo

New member here, hello everyone. I received my EX30 today, so far so good, came with v 1.3.1 software installed. Will take a look at the forum topics to get accustomed to the car. It is my first Volvo too.

I'm trying to get used to the key fob. The forum has helped with the keyless entry instructions. I'm used to like many having the key fob in a key chain. What is everyone doing with their fob, do you simply carry it in your pocket or do you have a key chain pouch to carry it with house keys etc? Are there any other options? Thanks.

I keep my key tag in an inexpensive key fob case from Amazon. It is a bit bulky but it keeps it secure as the tag itself is a £150 item to replace. This is (hopefully) a short term measure until the ‘phone as key’ function is enabled.

There's absolutely no need for it to be with my other keys. It just makes the bunch too large.

I have it on a lanyard - I can then either pop it round my neck (and sometimes into a convenient pocket) or I can loop it round a belt loop and put it in a trouser pocket. I mean to put a sticker over the VOLVO lettering - haven't decided what yet.

I've put the Key Cards in credit card holders with the logo hidden, and recently on one added a retractable cable so I can store it as I do the Key Tag and then stretch it out to unlock and initiate drive.

Thank you. This looks neat, I know it's by no means Faraday case protection but I am looking to just carry it along with my keys until the phone unlock becomes available.

Lanyard is a good idea. I use a rectractable belt clip for my work pass which could also serve same purpose. I think I'll stick to the case or strap key ring until we get the phone unlock feature.
