Are there any electronics associated with the Geelyevs kit? If not could one not simply wire an LED strip to the back of the boot light?

I see on the installation video - on a different car - the light goes all the way round!

No electronics added, only the Y cable adapter (passive) specific for the EX30 trunk light. This adapter is the only important component in the kit, but anyone with little skill in electronics could create the Y adapter by himself.
The Geelyevs LED strip comes with a standard strip connector, and looks like a commonly available product.

That guy actually installed 2 LED strips, one above and and one below! ;)

i am looking to install this strips on my trunk too....i want to install full circle but i did not like the running animation on the full circle on geelyevs website...someone said that half circle is 165 cms...has anyone bought the full circle strip ?
is longer than two times 165 cms (330cms) ??

The one I tried is very basic. You switch it on manually by turning the top section a little. It does work really well apart from it being manual. Just stuck it on using a Velcro pad so easy to remove when the car goes back.
Nordic Lights Pack of 2 LED Lights from Amazon. £6 for two so don’t be expecting too much!

i have bought one strip and is longer than the trunk length....can the strip be cutted to fit ?

i guess yes..there is little red mark every 5-6 leds...

has anyone fitted a strip and needed to cut length ?
