At least you guys still have a locking sound, the rest of Europe never had one. 😇

Since regulations in several countries prohibit the use of car horns except in dangerous situations, etc., it might not be a bad idea for the Volvo app (yes, the one that only connects after the second attempt) to allow a notification to be sent to your phone when the car is locked. That way, at least you'd have some certainty that the car has been locked. Perhaps when they include the digital key (for everyone), this will happen.

As a Canadian owner, I'm intrigued how European and NA updates are on a different schedule. I've had 1.5.1 since before Christmas and lost, among other things, the boot icon, lock confirmation sound, etc. I was hoping that this update would fix those issues but apparently they only thing I'll receive is the ability to share the key. A feature that as an Android user I can neither use nor really need. Shame on Volvo for their tortoise - like response to owner concerns.

The 1.5.1 was intended only for american(North) market. I think It was almost the same as the 1.5.0.(and almost the same that 1.5.2 for Android users) that UK users couldn't "enjoy" it for some strange reason... maybe because the cars have the steering wheel on the other side or some other crazy reason. Only the Volvo software intern knows.
I assume that the software battle is a losing battle.

The digital key system sends a notification to my Apple Watch when the car locks. Great news for all the Android phone users I’m sure.

2. The button on the front screen display enabling the boot to open has disappeared. Is there a solution to add this back to the main screen rather than having to go into a sub menu ?
I've seen a lot of comments about the boot button disappearing in 1.5.2 but I still have it. This is my "greeting screen" when I get into the car, and also the screen when I tap the car icon at the bottom of the screen. is that not the boot button I've circled in red?

Yes, but when you are driving along then stop (home screen, Google Maps showing) there used to be a boot button on the bottom of the screen (near the glove box button) by which you could open the boot.

Now you have to press the car button to bring up the extra screen with the boot button included, a needless extra button push that wasn't needed before the update.

Yes, as SP1959 says, it used to be on the main screen as a shortcut. Now, in its place (on the Plus model at least), they've added a button (that nobody ask for) to activate the rearview camera, even if you're not reversing. Useful? Well...in that order of looking at what's happening behind you, perhaps it would have been more useful to have a button that puts the mirrors in the parking position, by turning it slightly downwards. Or better yet, for that shortcut to be customizable. Just speculation, hopes in a normal world.

Actually, the camera button has its uses. At least on the Ultra, once you have opened the camera, you can use not only the rear camera, but select the front or either side camera, or the movable 360° view, to see how close you are to kerbs, car parking bay markings (in parts of the UK you can get fined £90 for being only 10mm outside the parking bay markings),etc.

But yes, there are plenty of buttons that could have been added (rear fog light).

There is also plenty of room to take 20mm off the bottom of the map and add a whole row of useful buttons - and one, two or three customable ones woud be great.
