on the "TY" car i can select the lock sound I want from {beep|quack|fart|horn|...} I chose quack because i won't confuse it with another car locking at the same time in the car park. The quack sound also seems to travel a good distance.

I think the UK version must have been set to muted fart...
Agreed, it's so quiet now that it's pretty much inaudible.

The other 2 issues I have with the latest update are
1) the welcome screen has lost the only feature I could turn off without having to put it in gear and reselect the home screen, speed limit warning has gone, but they have usefully left on the lane keep assist button that you can't use, which is stupid, I can't think of anything else to call it.
2) No Digital key for Android, I mean really, talk about alienate anyone with an android phone... and my Samsung wallet says I can add Volvo keys?

First OTA upgrade yesterday after having vehicle for over a year.
Still not Android compatible, very dissapointing as it was a sales pitch when I purchased.

first drive with 1.5.2 this evening. I seem to have lost all road sign information. No speed or school or anything. Got a map update today as well.

Is there a way to turn off/on road signs? Because I'd like to turn them back on if so :)

Pilot assist was also a sporadic mess. Either would not go on (orange colour below the PDR stack) or when on didn't work. Scared my wife (and me) a few times when it became very obvious that the car was NOT going to stop behind the car ahead already stopped at a light.

“ became very obvious that the car was NOT going to stop behind the car ahead already stopped at a light.”

I’ve had this too, never had it before the update, seemed to be when on pilot assist and there was no car to follow, then approached a car turning right, our car was not going to slow down.

Also pilot assist has cancelled its self twice in two days for no discernible reason, don’t recall that happening in the previous 5 months.

This not a new 1.5.2 feature to me, I have always had this problem since I got the car in April 2024.

As a result have never had any condifidence in Pilot Assist. I never use Pilot Assist but always toggle to the more useful manual Speed Limiter in the settings menu. (4 button presses each time!). On short drives when I don't activate the speed limiter, I make sure never to activate ACC. As stated my wife and I have never had any condifidence in it since we got the car in April 2024 and refuse to even consider using it.

With ACC I have found that driving along a motorway the car will slow down behind a slower moving vehicle, but will not stop behind a stationary vehicle - it just keeps on cruising!

Of course it may be that it would stop eventually with really hard emergency braking, but not before I bottle out and brake myself. And the additional fear is that although it may actually stop it itself in time, the breaking would be so sudden and so sharp that a dozy driver behind would be caught out by such sudden breaking that they rear-end us.

However the manual speed limiter is like an old style cruise control - except you have to keep your foot on the pedal. Set the speed you want and the car will not speed up above the limit you set, so no speeding tickets. That's what I want, a clean driving licence. As the system does not use automatic speed detection technology, it does not suddenly slow doen for false automatic speed limit detections. Slowing down behind slower or stationary traffic and (speeding up after an obstruction clears) is smoother because it uses the human brain not the car's software. Much safer, much calmer, much more enjoyable driving (just a pity about those four button presses - or two if you combine with "OK Google, open settings")

Downloaded the latest firmware like everyone else to 1.5.2 and I have no audible sound when I lock the car with the key card and I can't get the digital key to work on my iPhone 14 pro Max. I have tried everything for the last hour to no avail and I have yet to drive the car so God knows what else has gone pear shaped....

I find the AAC system ok but I only generally use it on the motorway and tend to brake myself when coming to a stop.
No idea why the speed limiter selection doesn’t latch. The ACC/Pilot Assist does and ironically this has a dedicated button on the steering wheel to toggle between the two.
Our 2016 Ford has a manual and automatic speed limiter
. The auto mode works really well and I find it very convenient in the mixed urban/rural environment where there are lots of speed limiter changes.

I have managed to install the digital mey only when I enter the car via card (and put it in the charging slot) and start the process from the EX30 app. With the key fob, started the pairing both from the app or from the car ended up with no results. From the car it kept asking for a code. But with the card, all went smoothly and now, the phone seems to work much-much better than the original fob. Hope it helps.
