I think there are many quality of life upgrades mentioned here. We’ve had some of these over the past year but it’s not often mentioned the range of the EX30 isn’t brilliant!
An ‘eco’ mode / max efficiency would be appreciated.
My EV9 has a bigger battery no doubt at 100kw vs 69 in Volvo but can recharge on a 350kw charger and peaked at 252 today delivering 33kwh in 11 minutes. This has an eco mode which is handy for an extra 13 miles of range on the motorway (an old skool overdrive lol). Yes you lose the immediacy of the acceleration and AWD but at cruise control who cares when it’s auto anyway. I was getting 2.4m / kWh in it today 300 mile round trip with 6 passengers (4 adults), only stopping for 11 mins charge. No way the EX30 could achieve that and it’s a lot more aerodynamic and weighs much less than the brick / tank that is the EV9.
My performance EX30 even in 1 pedal non AWD can do 175 miles motorway speed tops and can’t charge at anywhere like that speed, though the new Tesla v4 superchargers are decent. Put it this way, for the long trips the Volvo doesn’t get out the drive but as it’s been said, Tesla improved the original Model 3 I had several times in cold and warm weather delivering OTA updates (I had the heat pump same as Volvo) and must have squeezed another 35 miles of range out of Tesla over the period! Come on Volvo !!
What would you like to see next from OTA software updates?

Buttons on the steering wheel that I can actually customise
A cruise control that DOES NOT go back to the previous speed when reset
Ie if I've decelerated from 70 to 30mph I don't want to push cruise control and launch back to 70! I want it to adopt my new chosen speed.

Agree with most of these comments to be honest....
- Android Digital key obviously.
- Improvements to Pilot assist (tends to drift more than I would like).
- Improvements to self-parking assistant, seems to randomly recongise the spaces I've tried it in, most of the time doesn't recognise spaces at all.
- Improvements to GPS sync, e.g. when parking car underground and coming outside it can take 10-15 minutes for it to re-sync my position.
- Any charging or range improvements that can be achieved via Software updates.
- Improvements to the voice controls...
- e.g. "Hey google, turn the air-conditioning on", works perfectly.
- e.g. "Hey google, turn the air-conditioning off", does not work.
I am sure there are others mind you, but that's my core list atm.

I would like to see (next to everything mentioned before) an update to bring bidirectional charging (V2G/V2G and V2L) as it seems that the hardware is ready and only the software to allow it is missing. The MY26 should have it and I hope it will be available to MY24/25.
I don't have a use case for it but if it's possible, I want to have it

The car should now where my garage is
so that when I am backing into my garage it does not freak out and slam on the brakes. (I have to turn off audio, and turn off back up assist every time I back into the garage)
When I get in the car in the morning I would l like it to know I am still in my garage and not start alerting me that I am in a garage.
When I put the car in park and take my seat belt off I do not need to be told my seat belt is off
When I turn on the car started to playing my music again.
digital key as that card it terrible, it is very slow sometime to lock or unlock the car

How often do you use performance mode on your twin? I have an Ultra SMER so I don't have that mode but mine averages around 15.3kWh/100km after 12000+km.Achilles wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 10:40 am 3. Higher efficiency. My car is averaging around 24 kW/100km which is ridiculous. 5yo Tesla M3 averages about 15 kW/100km or better. I don't know how this car can be so inefficient. I even wonder if it's faulty.
4. Better trip energy consumption display options.
(Not too infrequently I do enjoy seeing beemers trying to catch up to me after the lights turn green.)
