I have read up many times about condensation appearing inside the lights of many new cars and I think it is considered normal and not a defect as so many cars from so many manufacturers affected.
It is not helped by LED lights that most cars come nowadays which do not hit the high temperatures that the old halogen and xenon lights used to emit to burn off any moisture. Saying that though my Hyundai Ioniq 5 or our previous Peugeot e-208 (both have/had LEDs front and rear) were not affected like this, but will keep an eye on things on this new EX30.

It might help to keep the spray away from the backside of the lamp assembly at the body joints. Moisture might backtrack into the units through the vents. The vents are placed there to allow moisture to escape in the first place. I had this happen on other vehicles, not the EX30 at least for now, hand wash or automated wash. Heating the clear lens slightly using a blow dryer with the boot open, it should clear up and not return, if there is not another problem.

Just to inform... I have reported my issue to the Volvo service and they will replace my rear upper lights next week under the warranty. It means they recognize it as a manufacturing defect.

Disappointing that it is indeed a defect but good news that they are replacing the units.

When the service will replace the rear lights you could just ask them to solve also the DAB radio muting issue replacing the defective light component.

Good tip, thx! I will ask about it. I have noticed this issue only once, outside the city, when the radio signal was most probably quite weak.

Some update.
Service have replaced my upper rear lights under the warranty. Installation quality was not very nice and they had to adjust slightly their position again, so in case you will replace the lights, take some photos to have the reference how it was (after adjust it is fine now).
I washed my car today afternoon, in the same way as always (hand, pressure station), zero condensation or water drops inside... I am sure now that it was a manufacturing defect.

Regarding "DAB radio muting issue" - I mentioned to them as advised by "kildare" to solve it, but service told me that they do not have the solution, they know the problem and will let me know when Volvo Group will provide the solution (could be that it will be only software solution).
