Is there a way to switch it off? I actually asked it in another thread as well...

Anyway, it does not work (most of the time) and at the times it works, it is useless. It uses Google data, which of course is outdated and sometimes reads the signs and fails to understand them well. For example, it has no clue what the zone is, nor does it know how the speed limits end in the city (at least here in Estonia). In cities, the speed limits will be ended at the next crossroads, but of course, it doesn't know it. Also, there is a fairly new stretch of highway, where instead of 90, there's 80... It goes with 90. And there's a ramp exit where you are allowed to go 40, but if you are not taking the ramp, you can go 70... And sure enough, it reads the ramp sign in the middle of the traffic.
And it never accelerates back to the new speed, it will reduce... sometimes. Useless feature - grumpy old man

Not helpful to your cause, I realise, but I have found it good, tbh - it went wildly wrong on the very first occasion I tried it, slowing me from 60 to 30 really quite quickly when it must have spotted a side road with a 30mph but since then, over, say, 200/300 miles I don't recall it getting it wrong.

Does it stay off or need to be turned off every time you drive?
Here in rural France my experience is exactly the same as qratkyll in Estonia. It is absolutely useless, as is lane assist or whatever it is that slams on the brakes. This car is going to be a nightmare to drive when the roads get icy.

Hi Geoff,
It stays off once you have decided not to use it. The lane assist needs to be switched off each time which is a pita. I was hoping that I could disable it from the welcome screen as the icon is there but it is greyed out for some reason.
Do you find the emergency braking activating a lot?

Three times since 19th July when I collected the car. Every time on fairly narrow country roads and fortunately clear of traffic. The first time really caught me out but since then I’ve gripped the wheel firmly ready to counteract any unexpected braking and steering. A couple of days ago I think the car may have seen a shadow on the road, the other two times there was nothing obvious. It’s a bit scary and if I had been overtaking a cyclist, they would definitely have had a fright, or worse.
Incidentally, my wife only reluctantly drives the car and if it happens to her, she won’t drive it again. I’ve driven hundreds of cars, although only three or four EV’s, and the EX30 is the most frustrating to drive of them all. It’s a good car ruined by software and I can only hope that there is someone somewhere developing a hack to disable the so-called driver aids. I’d pay for it.

The adapt to speed limit retains your chosen setting all the time, it does not default to either on or off.

So, if I were on an Autoroute with a 130kph limit and the car ‘saw’ a 70kph limit on a slip road exit it would slow to 70kph? And it can’t be turned off so that ACC works without adapting to a what the car thinks the limit is?

Yes it can be turned off so it ignores speed signs

You choose what way you want ACC to work. Either:

"Adapt to speed limit" on - the car will try to cruise at what it believes is the speed limit, right or wrong (except that it stays below the target cruise speed that you set, if that target speed is lower than the speed limit)

or

Adapt to speed limit" off - the car will try to cruise at the target speed that you set, and will ignore all speed limits (though the excess speed warning will still sound unless you have disabled it).

It's your choice.
