I got my EX30 a fortnight ago from Jackson’s in Guernsey. Then spent a week back and forth with their software expert trying to get IITC up and running. Turns out Volvo do not yet have an agreement with Sure to provide the service. This affects Channel Islands and Isle of Man. I’m assured this will be sorted in the near future.
I bought from the same dealer about three months ago and have been having the same issues with IITC and also the app. Volvo have been looking at it behind the scenes but haven't been able to offer an explanation - it sounds like you were more lucky. It's interesting because the Vodafone IITC T&Cs document specifically lists Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man as supported countries.
Did they say what the "near future" means and was this Jacksons or Volvo that said this?
This seems like a fairly fundamental issue that we should have been made aware of when we bought the car.
I’ve just picked my car up and having the same issues, no in car internet, the latest update won’t download past 91%, £45000 for a car that doesn’t work correctly. Not good enough by a supposed premium brand.
Has anyone tried to contact Volvo complaints dept. My dealer simply said there is an issue we know about it but there is no fix however reading these posts there clearly is a fix. I’m in Wales, UK.
Stop press! When I picked my car up the product “specialist” told me o skip a very important step! I did some digging whilst working nights last night and on the app there was a tiny icon that said finish setting up your in car internet, I pressed it and it took me to a Vodafone contract link, this was the step the “SPECIALIST” said I didn’t need to do! I did it and within 20 minutes all downloads complete and I have in car internet working perfectly! So definitely worth a check to make sure you are signed up! I’m in the UK so not sure for other countries but thought I would share!
Picked up our new EX30 2 weeks ago and no google services worked, clock would not keep time & then the car stopped accepting a charge. Sadly our dealer forgot to tell us we need to register the SIM card in the car (takes 24hrs), this is essential and now everything fine.

I bought mine back in April from Jackson's in Isle of Man, so we are in the same boat. I never thought about whether the same problem was happening in the CI. I was given no assurances about any fix happening soon. Please can you keep me updated if anything happens down there, and I will do the same.
