Headlights when parked

Hi everyone!

Delighted with the TMP Ultra so far. Impressive driving and features for the segment.

A short question I have is whether there is a way where headlights can be set to turn off when you're parked and even if you're inside the car.

This could probably be set so when you take the keycard out of the front repository and you change gear to P it assumes you're parked.

I find it very strange that headlights stay on only until you lock the car from the outside.

Is there something I'm missing?

You have to go into the settings menu each time.

If I park in my home garage and for some reason leave the car open in P, it wil just keep its lights on, presumably until the battery drains.

I'm confused.

I thought you wanted to keep the lights on.

After a minute or two, my lights go off when parked. Doesn't matter if the car is locked or not.

Sven, if you want turn off the lights and stop AC when the car is open but not in use, you can turn off the car.

Turning the car off manually
- Press the car symbol in the bottom bar and go to Settings.
- Go to Controls → Vehicle modes → Power off car.
- Turn the car off.

Canis, thanks for the tip. I thought this was configurable for automation, so it behaved like in any other car when you take either the key off the ignition or, in more modern times , you put the car in P.

The car should shut down automatically unless you have some kind of timer on.

Will try it today.

Edit: checking the manual, it seems if the car isn't locked and there's nobody in the driver seat, the car will turn off after 30 minutes.

I assume lights and AC are part of this event. Quite long for high-energy consuming features.

I don’t think modern led lights consume much energy these days. You can turn the AC off via the Climate settings page (but as others have said, you can also turn the car off completely in settings as well).

I think we're going to get a lot of "you've left your lights on!" comments. I went to the supermarket early this morning and the lights were on. I walked away and the car locked itself up but the lights are programmed to stay on. It did seem odd so I hung around until they went out!
