Key Card, Key Fob, Phone key
Good afternoon. I am the happy owner of an EX30 Plus but my friend has just purchased an EX30 Ultra. It had 9000 miles on the clock and was only registered in Jan 24. When they picked it up it only had 1 of the credit card types keys. They were told by the Volvo dealer that it was only made with 1 but please can someone confirm that is incorrect?? I have 2 with mine and a fob and reading some of these posts, it looks like others with the Ultra have 2 credit card keyes too. I look forward to hearing back.
Same here, two cards and a fob @ ultra.
Check the sale ads and contract if it says anything about the number of keys. If they insist this specific car will be delivered with only one card (for whatever reason they come up with) get in writing that for the car with the VIN XXX all other access cards / fobs / etc have been disabled (you don't wanna wake up without a car one morning) and just buy another card and / or fob.

I don't know what country you are in.
In the UK the Plus and Ultra come supplied with two key cards and one key fob for vehicles delivered before Digital Key is available. This is clearly stated on the Volvo website. Any failure to supply the car without these is means that the car clearly does not match Volvo's specs and is in breach of the standard if the advertised product leaving them open to legal action.
Of course, as it is second hand it might have been "sold as seen", not "as new".

Getting a bit fed up too...My key fob is working intermittently and sometimes it can take as long as 1-2 minutes before the car decides to unlock and I am getting bit pi#&ed off with it. I suppose I am going to have go to the inconvenience of going back to the dealer...I guess the reason for my post is if there might be some form of system reset that could resolve the issue?

Yes, it's irritating that you never know if the car is going to unlock as you approach but you don't need to wait for 2 minutes - if you grasp the driver's door handle without your thumb touching the groove on the outer surface, the car will unlock if the fob is close by, don't forget.edenr1 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 9:21 am Getting a bit fed up too...My key fob is working intermittently and sometimes it can take as long as 1-2 minutes before the car decides to unlock and I am getting bit pi#&ed off with it.
