Solar sunroof
I have the Ultra and love the extra light that the pano roof provides. During the recent hot days I had the climate programmed to cool the car 10 mins before I got in to it. I was really pleasantly surprised how cool the car was considering that it was sitting in 27-30 degrees of direct sunshine.

Hi from Australia. We’ve experienced some hot days finally and although I can confirm the car doesn’t heat up too much through the EX 30 sunroof it does let in a lot of glare. I’ve even taken to wearing a cap whilst driving so I’m definitely buying the sunshade!

I also have this sunshade on order just in case it turns out I may need it during the hotter less cloudy months

I expect it should arrive in another week or so, I will try to remember to post about if I think it's worth having once I got it installed.
Did you get the sunroof installed?
Could you share a photo showing how it is clipped?
Looks like a great website for accesories!
Thanks

Your warning is too late, he’s already bought one. The conception was good, it’s the birth that is disappointing but it will be alright when it grows up, maybe.

I have the official Volvo sunshade and it is very simple to fit. Was afraid it would rattle, but it didn't. Have now removed it again and will mount it again next summer. The car does not heat up much through the panoramic roof, but I cannot stand bright light very well and this sunshade helps very much. I’m happy with it.

I installed the sunroof myself, it was easy enough. Unfortunately I am not able to take photos right now since I am away from my home location where I left my EX30.ultra wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2024 11:50 pmHi!helmex wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 5:31 pm Hey @brunel44, I got my Ultra delivered last week, over here in Cuernavaca and I am happy to report that the sunroof is not heating the car as much as I was afraid would happen. Where I am it comes with free heat/UV rejection film, and manual cover. I have yet to use the cover. As I’m not very tall, I don’t find the need to install it.
On a mid day where temp can go up to high 30s, I can feel the heat if I touch the glass but I don’t feel it above my head.

It was about 27°C yesterday and my car reported that it was 47.5°C when I got in it, and that is with the Volvo roof blind installed.

Yeah, it’s a piece of crap. It keeps falling out when I’m driving. Lucky it hasn’t been the cause of an accident. I’ll be taking it back to the Volvo shop and asking for my money back. To be honest, I hope they take the whole car back. I’d love to swap it for an EV3.
