Just installed update 1.4 OTA, seems to have installed smoothly. Yet to try it out but there are a couple of additional shortcuts obvious. Release notes below:

My car has been stuck trying to download 1.3 for weeks now so I booked it in for a service.

Out of nowhere, I get a notification that my car has updated to 1.4!

Great to see some more functions added to the quick settings screen!

Now, if they could just map the performance on/off to the steering wheel customisable button, that would be great!

You can get the car out of the stuck position by doing a reset - you will thereafter just have to log in to Google and download apps again. Do a full reset under Settings and System. My download of 1.3.1. at 93% was cleared this way.

Any news on updates to dab radio issues of muting when breaking and general signal strength?

Also since 1.3 my phone only intermittently connects and I have to reconnect from the lost in Bluetooth settings…

Just installing 1.4 now ….

Good to know, thanks. I’ve not tried doing a full system reset.

Not checked. There is an area near me that it always happens so I’ll go there tomorrow to check.

Because it happens in the same place for me every time (and not always at other times), I believe it is when the radio signal strength is weaker.

My car is also going in for a service on 15th July to investigate this issue. Others have reported it is due to the location of the aerial being too close to the brake light but no one at Volvo has confirmed this.

1.4 installed seamlessly OTA yesterday. That's a first so worth celebrating I suppose.
As for the update itself, no-one asked for a password on their glovebox so the only real change is the quick buttons to turn off some of the annoying 'safety' features. This is welcome, removes 10 of the button presses I do every time I get into the car.

As mentioned previously, fixing the radio, making the phone connect and allowing the music to start where you left it would be worthwhile improvements.

Maybe next year...

Owned my EX30 for about a month now. The car and drive is awesome. The software is utterly abysmal and on the verge of being dangerous because it requires so much interaction when simple things do not work that just should.
I have another thread on this and am waiting to hear back from Volvo.
I updated 1.4 yesterday. Seemed to install ok. No AirPlay was my first frustration.
I did however install Waze. And was a bit excited to use this on my morning drive. Set it up on the drive and soon as I pulled off it says cannot use app while driving. IS THIS A JOKE!!!!! It’s a sat nav app and does not work while driving as it’s been locked out for safety ha ha ha ha ha.
So much annoyance with software, radio cutting out, unable to connect to phone, unable to remote climatize. I could go on.
Volvo need to sort this out fast as they are going to get a terrible reputation, if not already on this amazing looking motor.
My 12 year old daughter said to me this morning “Dad, I think this is the worst car you’ve ever had”.

In v1.4 as well. I installed ABRP but I have blank screen with only a search line that bug. No buttons, no other way to get the main menu, or settings menu...

Wish they'd outline the 'bugs' resolved in the release, or at least the major ones. Anyone know if this fixes the annoying distance reverting to 'Long' on cruise control settings? That one has been driving me mad (if you'll pardon the pun ;) )!
