Clock changing to wrong time

On two occasions I have noticed that the clock on the car has randomly changed to the wrong time - not off by a few minutes but by 7 or 8 hours.

I am not putting this down as a car fault, as the clock sttings were set at 'automatically update time using internet provider's settings', or something to that effect. Clearly the fault lies with Vodafone not Volvo.

The problem for me is that I depend on the clock for timed off-peak charging between 0200 and 0900 (I cannot use the charger's app as it is an Ohme Home Pro which is still unable to communicate with Volvo EX30s.) If this happens when I am plugged in to the charger I could end up charging at peak rate instead of off-peak (or, even worse, not charging at all before I need the car).

I have resolved this issue by changing the clock settings to manual, which shouldn't really be an issue except that I will have to manually change the time when the clocks change.

Its just a pity Volvo couldn't have chosen a more reliable internet provider instead of Vodafone.

I was wondering, has this happened to anyone else?

Yes! This happened to me yesterday for the first time (well - first time i've noticed it). It was around 2.15pm and when I looked at the clock to see if I was going to be late back to work - but the clock said 22:57! I had to toggle the "automatically update time" on and off and the time fixed itself.

Also happened to me and again had to manually change the time, I haven’t however switched back to automatic time which I might try later to see what happens.

Yup - I've had exactly the same.
Shortly after the dealer updated software to 1.3.1 on 8th May.
Hasn't done it again though.....

No - just charging with plug in charger on standard rate

I am on the OHME Home Pro.

Not on Octopus though.

I am on a two tariff rate from my electricity supplier, peak (17 hours a day) and off-peak(7 hours a day).

No Smart Meter, just a very dumb meter. It can't even allow for British Summer Time. Off-peak is 0100-0800 GMT all year round, which is actually 0200-0900 during the summer BST months.
