Hi, I waited more than 6 months to get my car and now several issues in less than a month… I am so disappointed.
1. BLISS not working - they had to replace the sensor.
2. Front driver monitoring camera error detected stopped working.
3. Unlocking the car presents issues sometimes by keys not being recognized.
4. Clock not synced sometimes.
5. Bluetooth connection dropping off.
And this is not even the full list. For a brand such as Volvo and the price I paid is so disappointing… not to even start with car dealership response stating that “they are just the dealership”… I mean come on Volvo, you need to do something about it and keep your brand values even at the dealership sites, but especially deliver cars that are worth the price.
Several issues with EX30 - frustrating
Welcome aboard Karin.
So you have arrived at the dark side.
BRILLIANT CAR FANTASTIC bit of kit
BEST I HAVE HAD IN 55 YEARS OF MOTORING.
BUT
CANNOT STAND THE REGULAR SOFTWARE ISSUES AND CHANGING AND RANDOM FAULTS SUCH AS YOURS.
At one point I was encouraged that we were NOT alone.
Now I just get peed off.

Software failures deserve some mercy, ok, we all have problems with our electronic devices, even more so when connecting to devices, even from companies as big or bigger than Geely(Google, Apple, Samsung, Xioami, etc etc). OK. But things like the key thing never cease to surprise me. That the key still does not work with the phone or that the key does not have one, two or three buttons is something that still can't understand. There are many situations in which a button is necessary...open the trunk or open/close the doors remotely, etc. The system could also work by proximity, but also include buttons, right?

The frustrating thing is that it is so unnecessary. I have a 2016 Ford with keyless and it works great. Buttons on the fob and sensors on all handles. I get that proximity sensing is the next step but no need to abandon all previous system’s surely? Maybe I’m not understanding something but it seems like unnecessary hassle.

I still have the Ford Connect App on my phone and can STILL login to the car! 6 years later (3 after selling it)
I know exactly where it is, can set the aircon, unlock remotely, flash the lights etc.
Hence I will never buy a Ford again.
After I gave back my Volvo XC40 for the EX30, I too could continue accessing the car using the VolvoCars app.SeX30 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 11:36 pm We had a 2018 Focus before the Cupra.

Anyway after some days I decided to remove the account from the app for privacy reasons...
