Interesting tip for re-boot by pressing down button.
This morning, unable to preheat. Tried the suggested technique: pre-heat restored and radio now showing details of music playing - I lost that when uploading 1.4.1 a couple of weeks ago.

So using the app you need to be able to associate your ID to the car, and to do this you have to complete the on display QRcode scanning by the app.
If the QRcode scanning shows an error and doesn't succeed, then you have to call Volvo or your dealer and ask them to disconnect any associated or corrupted ID from the Volvo database, so to let you redo the association procedure as when the car was delivered the first time (as happened to me).
We can drive it, but everything related to connecting to the outside world is not working. There is no map, radio, or voice assistant, and because of this, the QR code won't even display to allow us to connect to the app.
I connected to my home wifi, which connects, but says that the car cannot reach the internet.
UPDATE - I connected to a hotspot on my phone, which connected the car to the outside world and allowed me to set the app up on my iPhone. However, as soon as that hotspot is disabled, the map and all things connection are lost again, too.
Also, the app shows the car as 30% charged when it's 100%, and you can't use any of the app's features —even when a hotspot connection is enabled.
I spoke to the Volvo dealer, who advised that the EX30 software is rubbish, has loads of faults, and wont be usable for a few months yet?

Didn't your dealer setup the car with you on delivery?
At that moment the car has to be sucessfully associated with your Volvo ID to unlock all the online functionalities.

The software is rubbish excuse is so poor from a dealer. I would take it back to them and ask for them to set it up properly. Could be lots of things from a hardware issue in the car through to a setup issue at Volvo. The software clearly works as there are lots of ex30 out there happily connected to the internet and their owners apps. Find someone at the dealership that knows what a computer is.

same thing here in greece. i eventually logged out of my google account but cannot log in again! i've reset display with arrows down etc., but i am still facing issues...
Same here. Got in the car and no internet connectivity. That coupled with a stalled 1.4 update, loss of location on satnav when I was driving late at night the other day and lots of other random crap is making me seriously consider rejecting it. It’s going into the local dealer next Tuesday for an update. If it’s still as bad after that I’ll more seriously consider rejecting.
