I find it odd how so many people are having issues with the cars, my only issue has been the limit charging work around when charging but that’s it.

After nearly 1000 miles in 4 weeks I have had EVERYTHING that is likely to happen
LATEST
The eye scanner for attention packed up. Car was not to be driven except to the the dealer for repair replacement.

A soft reboot of the system again sorted that one.
Cheers Andy!

The charging issue can also be resolved by switching on the charge limiter and then switching it off again (rather than set it to 30). You need to do this each time you charge. I think this issue only started after the first software update. It worked fine for the first few weeks I had my car.

I would ❤️ to know how to stop the radio fading out every time I brake…anyone know a solution?

Welcome to this forum.

Some people have found a solution to the radio by using a streaming service instead of the built-in DAB.

Alternatively, you can use FM and unlike DAB?

I thought the radio fading issue was limited to DAB stations - unfortunately not. It happens with FM stations but annoyingly it is very hit and miss.

Hi all

I’ve had my EX30 for a month now and your problems are all familiar and there seems to be no solution in sight from Volvo.

They seem to take a similar stance to the Post Office ie you’re the first to experience this… nonsense!

Currently my car will not connect to the internet, Apple Car Play does not work, charging requires the limit to be changed each time I charge at home and Google assistant does not work so voice commands are not functioning correctly.

Over the Easter holiday I drove over 400 miles to London and back, and more problems emerged, there were times when the Google mapping did not work at all, in fact the map spun round annoyingly while on the M1 seemingly trying to locate itself.

The radio stations I had saved disappeared and even then would not let me even connect my iPhone via Bluetooth!

The blind spot warning stopped working despite being selected, so had to turn off and on.

So I think Volvo need to consider a full and urgent review of the software plus I would recommend making the text for the speed, the speed limit sign and the remaining charge all larger too so they are more easily read, this would improve safety too.

At the moment I feel the car’s specification I ordered is not being provided, I have therefore been misled and this could be viewed as miss-selling.

Anyone concur?

I totally agree. The most irksome is the total silence from both Volvo UK and my local dealer, both of whom I have not been able to get any response other than Volvo is aware and working on a fix and I only got that by me contacting them.

Welcome to this forum Volvo go go

Some issues there that no one else has flagged up. The curious thing is that some people are reorting there's nothing wrong with their cars, so why is it happening to just some.

The car is not supposed to have Android Auto.

It runs the Android Automotive Operation System (AAOS) which is similar to but also completely different to Android Auto.

There is an extremely limited range of apps available for AAOS - much less than I'd imagined before researching it.
