Re: Battery Preconditioning in v cold weather
I can share my experience here. The battery preconditioning automatically came on when I set the map to a charging point early in the morning before a long drive. The charge was at 68%. I got a notification stating this on the screen in the alerts page. Ambient temperature was about 2 deg C. After 1...

Re: Ohme charger & Octopus intelligent Go
My screenshot was intended to show that the Ohme app has retrieved the charge level of the car. This feature was never there earlier. I have placed a yellow arrow next to it. In the Settings at the bottom of the screen, there is an option 'Manage my EV'. In there the car needs to be paired by provid...

Re: Ohme charger & Octopus intelligent Go
Apologies for bumping up this thread. I just noticed that Ohme Home Pro can now see the state of charge the car has. It gets updated on the Ohme app when the cable is plugged in. What needs to be done first is to pair the car using the Ohme app and providing the Volvo id linked to the car. Now the c...

Re: Condensation
It might help to keep the spray away from the backside of the lamp assembly at the body joints. Moisture might backtrack into the units through the vents. The vents are placed there to allow moisture to escape in the first place. I had this happen on other vehicles, not the EX30 at least for now, ha...

Re: Climate - thanks for useful advice
I certainly have no complaints on the heating or cooling ability of this car. It is reasonably quick if you let it do it's thing. Any change to the settings can make things go south fast leading to thick fog on the windows and such. I spent half an hour in a parking lot once in the rain due to heavy...

Re: Climate - thanks for useful advice
I would suggest to leave it in Auto for heating. It is very rare that the fascia vents blow any air at all before the cabin temperature reaches the set point. I have a thought the heating on this car is biased toward the lower vents and once they have done the job of raising the cabin temperature, t...

Re: Climate - thanks for useful advice
In 'Auto' heating always starts blowing downward below the dashboard and beneath the front seats for the rear passengers. This is the best position IMO for heating. The warm air being lighter diffuses throughout the car best in this position and also our feet being most temp sensitive, it gives the ...

Re: Update 1.4.4 released
I do think the OTA updates need some agreements and consents to be accepted on the app. I really do not know how I did it, but once I got the agreement and consents displayed on the EX30 app and accepted them, the updates have always been seamless. I was stuck on 1.3 for a long time even when 1.4 wa...

Re: Cupholder insert
The cupholder insert can be slid out of the way if not needed. At least it's that way on mine.
