Just fixed mine with this fix. ATTACHED
He said he does this up to once a week on his EX40 too. Similar to clearing the CACH or restarting your computer nd reboots the Modulator.
Mobile network.


Your car has a built-in modem for connecting to a mobile network. As long as the car has an active mobile network service plan and it's in an area with network reception, it can connect to the internet. You can turn the car's mobile data on or off in the display. Contact an authorised Volvo workshop for information about mobile connectivity services for your car.
The car supports mobile networks up to, and including, 5G.
Note
Mobile network connectivity conditions and limitations
• The car needs to be in an area with mobile network reception.
• Mobile connectivity services must be active for the region in which the car is located.
• Obstacles such as buildings, hills and mountains can weaken or block the mobile network signal.
Internet connection settings
You can find the connectivity settings in the display.

Restarting the centre display

If the centre display's response is slow, it might help to restart the display. A restart may also fix the problem if you are experiencing issues with e.g. Bluetooth, navigation or connectivity.
This article is applicable to models with Google built-in. The instructions vary depending on car model, so be sure to read the section that applies to your car.

EX30
The car needs to be at a stand-still with the parking brake applied.
Simultaneously press and hold the MINUS on the left and the DOWN ARROW on the right buttons on the steering wheel. You need to hold the buttons for approximately 15 seconds until the display turns off and then restarts showing the Volvo logo.
This procedure might need to be performed more than once to be effective.

Restarting the entertainment system

You can restart the entertainment system using specific buttons on the steering wheel.

If you are having problems with the entertainment system, such as not being able to connect to the internet, restarting it might be a way to resolve these issues.

When you restart the system, the car's display restarts. However, to be able to do this, the car must be at a stand-still with the parking brake applied.
Simultaneously press and hold the decrease set speed and decrease volume buttons on the steering wheel until the display changes.
The entertainment system restarts.

Spent yesterday morning on Whats App with Volvo support. Long story short, carried out reset of every possible system including the one you detailed above without a fix. Agent tried very hard to help but was clearly not up to speed with current EX30 issues. Advised to book in to dealers which I arranged for tomorrow.
Just got a call from dealer to tell they have just discussed with Volvo technical who are aware of both connectivity and 6A charging issue and they are working on a fix so don't bother bringing car in tomorrow.

I have just found this forum and I feel validated!
Have had my EX30 for 2 weeks and had the 6a charge issue, loss of internet and constantly having to restart for the radio stations to work. Reading this and finding I’m not on my own!!! Thank you !!!!
Volvo fan! C30 T5, V40, XC40 new owner of EX30 who was feeling a bit hopeless and just found this forum to know all the niggles are not just me!!’

I tried to restart the entertainment system once but it did not work for me. I might try couple of times to see if it is effective but my car does not have any signal bar showing that it has connection. After I connect my phone with hotspot still I don't see any cell connection bars but I see LTE sign there. Can anyone verify this multiple restart actually work for them?

I have reset infotainment system numerous times. I have also reset the network settings and the full car settings found in system menu. I still have the same result as you, no internet connectivity although I can see and interact with the the car in the EX30 app. If I connect to a hotspot I also see the LTE icon which disappears when I disconnect from my hotspot.

I saw a website deleting and recreating the volvo id worked for them. I didn't see any other people responding to that and I have not tried myself. Ayn one saw that as well?

I took my car yesterday to dealer for maintenance and fixing the internet connection. They could not resolve anything and told me to wait. They told me they tried everything but no results. Today I got internet in the car subscription showing in the app and with a end date written there. I didn't check the car yet but I will keep everyone updated if the internet issue is resolved in the car as well.
